Thank you for visiting our rescue spotlight page! We are serious about helping pets in need of rescue, and it is our sincere hope that one day they will ALL have a home.

Having worked with literally hundreds of rescue organizations over the last 23 years, we have been lucky enough to meet some truly wonderful people working on behalf of animals in need. If you are wanting to make donations to help animals and you just aren't sure where your dollars will be best put to good use, we hope our spotlight rescue page will help to highlight some of the best. We feature individual animals in need of forever homes as well as local, national, and international causes. We love to hear about new groups as well, and we welcome your suggestions always. While it seems like a never ending story, together we are actually making a difference!

cats

Maru is looking for a home where she will be an indoor cat and raw-fed. Here is her story:

Maru is currently Columbus, Ohio, is raw-fed, and deeply loved. Unfortunately, her guardian is having serious health issues making it impossible for her to give Maru the care she needs.

From Anne at Cat Nutrition:  "I know there are many many cats in need of a home. But let's come together and help find a good home for this one. Thank you!  Email me through my site (www.catnutrition.org) if you think you can help or know someone who can."

From Maru's momma: "I had Maru from the time she was 7 weeks old. She got all her kitten shots, but as I came to learn more about the potentially lethal side effects, I decided against further vaccinations, especially after the scare I had with my older cat (who passed away in 2007). I didn't see the need, as she was an indoor cat, and never in contact with others.

Anne introduced me to the raw diet in 2006, and maru transitioned easily, and of course has been thriving on it. (Rabbit is her favorite.) ...She's very bright, and can be dog-like at times (comes when called, for example); she HATES being picked up, but will happily sit on your lap and sleep in bed with you."

If you can help Maru, please contact either EnduraPet (info@endurapet.com) or Anne (anne@catnutrition.org).
There is a high probability that can help with transportation if Maru finds a home in another city or state.

Cleo is a total love-bug. She is about 7 and believe me when I tell you she is as soft as a bunny! Miss Cleo currently resides at a vet hospital near EnduraPet's offices. She was abandoned there by her human. Cleo does have a virus which manifests as eye trouble when she is stressed, so you can imagine that she has been having quite a bit of eye trouble lately! While her eyes are like this, she does need to have a room of her own, as she can be contagious  to other cats during this time, but with proper care and lots of good Immune Support which we will gladly donate to her adopter, she will be good as new. The vet hospital is also committed to providing needed eye meds for her. If you are interested in giving this sweetie either a foster or permanent home, please email us at info@endurapet.com
